Why we started Gator
Two people who got tired of watching their neighbors get talked into roofs they did not need.
Gator Roofing and Restoration was founded in 2023 by Jonathan and Gina Davis, right here in Denham Springs. The idea was simple: help families navigate roofing with honesty.
Roofing has a reputation problem, and it is earned. Storm chasers roll through after every hurricane, sell a roof at a knock on the door, and disappear before the first warranty call. We built Gator to be the opposite of that — a local company with a real address, a real phone number, and a name we have to live with at the grocery store.
Jonathan serves on the board of the Residential Roofing Contractors Association of Louisiana, which means the standards we hold our crews to are the same ones we help write for the industry. Gina came to roofing from alligator conservation work — which is where the gator comes from, and also where a certain stubbornness about doing things properly comes from.
Today we handle everything from a single lifted shingle to a full commercial tear-off, across Livingston Parish, East Baton Rouge, and the surrounding communities. The promise has not changed: we tell you what we actually see up there, we quote it in writing, and we do what we said we would do.
