Questions
The things people ask us
Do I have to buy the lights?
No. We provide the lights — professional-grade C9 bulbs — and they are included in the per-foot price. There is no separate materials bill and nothing for you to shop for.
What happens to the lights after Christmas?
We take them down after the holidays and store them until next season. Nothing goes in your attic, and there is no tangled box to deal with next November.
What if a strand stops working in the middle of December?
Call us and we come fix it. Maintenance through the season is part of the service, not an add-on.
Will hanging lights damage my roof or gutters?
This is exactly why we do it. We are roofers the other eleven months of the year, so we use attachment methods made for shingles and gutters — no staples through your roofing, no clips that bend your gutter line.
How is the price calculated?
By the linear foot of roofline we actually light, at $7.20 per foot. We measure your home rather than guessing, and the number goes in writing before anything starts.
When do you install and take down?
Installations run through the fall and early winter, and takedown happens after the holidays. Most neighborhoods fill up by early November, so the earlier you call the more choice you have on timing.
Do you do businesses as well as homes?
Yes. Commercial buildings and storefronts are the same process — we measure, design, install, maintain, and remove.
What areas do you cover?
The same footprint as our roofing work: Denham Springs, Walker, Livingston, Watson, Albany, Baton Rouge, Central, Zachary, Baker, Prairieville, Gonzales, Hammond, and Ponchatoula. If you are close to that list, call and ask.
While we are up there
We are roofers the rest of the year
Hanging lights puts us on every foot of your roofline in good light. If we spot something up there — lifted shingles, a failed pipe boot, rot at the fascia — we will tell you and show you the photo. No charge and no sales pitch attached to it.
